The Production Scheduling Supervisor oversees the scheduling of production and supervises employees, to ensure sufficient quantities of quality products are manufactured at or below budget. Resolves issues related to the organization's production, machinery, processing and/or packaging operations.

Job Core Responsibilities

+ Achieves all production scheduling objectives through proper planning and delivery of high quality products, which meet specifications

+ Applies hands on experience in the fields of production scheduling for industrial electrical, mechanical, compressed gas systems and production

+ Maintains necessary records/documents of production scheduling work performed

+ Ensures proper use of tools, equipment, and materials used within the production department and maintains a safe and clean working environment that will ensure safety of all employees

+ Diplomatically interacts with difficult and sensitive personnel situations using good judgment

+ Leads and directs work for team of employees as defined by business needs

+ Manages staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations

+ Other responsibilities as assigned

+ Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance

+ Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Job Specifications

Education: Post-Secondary degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectation

Years Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience within a manufacturing environment responsible for scheduling on the production line.

+ Supervisory experience including writing of reviews, motivating the team and evaluating performance is a plus.

+ Aerospace or automotive manufacturing experience is desired

+ Experience in a planning capacity within an engineering manufacturing environment is a plus

+ Experience implementing new production systems (T/Card, Kanban, etc ) is desired.

+ Lean manufacturing experience specifically with implementations and lean tools is desired
